I'm a creative director, designer, photographer, writer, producer, independent political adviser, and volunteer. I founded my first photography company when I was 16, but design is my first love. A child of the 80's,
I thought for sure we'd have flying cars by now. I love to cook and one of my favorite things to make are my hush puppies. I'm single, but I believe in love. Growing up I played with rocks, dirt, fire,
jumped from trees, and made forts with cardboard boxes.
If I could have any five cars in my garage they would be: 1995 McLaren F1 LM, 2008 BMW E90 M3 Coupe, 2010 Mercedes-Benz S550 4MATIC, 1994 Jeep Wrangler, and 2010 Ferrari California.
In March 2010 I was named the Creative Director for the Republican Governors Association. By leveraging my years of design and political strategy experience, this is an exciting
opportunity. Learn more about the RGA at RGA.org. Stay tuned to my blog for the latest information.
I was born in Washington DC on December 14, 1980, and grew up in Potomac, Maryland. My dad was a small business owner and my mother mostly stayed at home, although
she had the harder job, corralling two rambunctious boys. In 1997 at the age of 16, I founded Foster Video Productions. This adventure started with a single
Bar Mitzvah video gig, but the company grew by word of mouth to include photography, and graphic design. In 2000 I moved the company to San Francisco to ride the dot-com wave,
crashing in a most spectacular fashion. In 2002 I started Justin Schuck & Company focusing on photography and design. In 2006 I was the web guru behind Scott Rolle's
upstart attorney general campaign in Maryland.
I've had my share of triumphs and failures, but through it all I've remained up beat. As my cousin reminded me recently, God gives you what you need when you need it most.
He may push you hard, past any point you thought you could go, but he never gives you more than you can handle. Everything in our past is the ticket to where we need to be.

"I have seen several different reviews related to Justin Schuck's work. Some are great and some are not. Say whatever you want, but if you give Justin carte blanche
creative authority and keep him motivated, his end product is the ABSOLUTE BEST IN THE BUSINESS." -Jason S.
"I have had the privilege of working with Justin on several occasions, and I always am more than thrilled with the results I receive. Justin's creative and very driven
when it comes to work. He is always very professional and courteous. If you are in need of an expert photographer for an upcoming event, I highly recommend using
Justin Schuck + Co." -Tim B.
"Justin has done a great deal of work for The Art Institutes --- most notably the Passion for Fashion Competition in NYC, the Americans for the Arts Poster Competition
and many others. He is a consummate professional who aspires to the highest levels of excellence. I know I can count on Justin to produce a top notch product for our
promotional purposes." -Jacquelyn M.
"Justin was kind, soft and gentle. And he made us all laugh. It was actually fun. I didn't even know that was possible. There is a kindness in his heart that comes out
when he's working with kids. My [Autistic] daughter really responded to him. There's a picture of me crying and her laughing and happy. I would trust him with anything." -Madeleine J.
"Justin is a terrific photographer and much more. He can oversee all aspects of a photo shoot, including arranging for videography. He is totally professional,
and a pleasure to work with." -Midge E.
"It was only after a few hours of contacting Justin to photograph an up scale outdoors event at Bryant Park in New York City had he personally taken care of all his travel
arrangements and sent me the logistics. I communicated the time and place and he showed up early and ready to work. The photographs were so amazing that I called Justin to help me
with a personal project of my own. I wanted to restore and enlarge a very old photograph of my parents from about 40 years ago for their Anniversary. I was slammed at work all week
and could not get out to Bethesda so Justin drove to Alexandria (in a snow storm!) picked up the photo and then dropped it off at my house in Maryland a day later at 1am before I
was leaving to go out of town!!! The picture of my parents was beautiful and they couldn't believe how well it had been restored. Many many thanks Justin!" -Allison C.
"This guy is, quite simply, the best photographer/website designer in the DC area. He is reliable, creative, reasonable and a pleasure to work with. You simply can't do
any better. In addition to taking phenomenal pictures for my campaign, he put together the best political website I have ever seen. We received thousands of compliments on it. I look
forward to working with him on the next go 'round!" -Scott R.
"This guy is brilliant. His work is outstanding... My company has a contract with him where he basically has to jump and run any time we assign him a project.
I was a photo minor so I just have to give him some props because he makes boring stuff look good. Sometimes he even makes "stuff" look hot. We had him photograph about 200 random
products for sale on our website and he suggested doing something different with the background. We used this alley behind his apartment building at night to photograph all these
bottles of shampoo and whatnot. I mean, who thinks of that? That's the brilliant part." -Andrew L.
"Justin has always provided my company (and my family) with great customer service. He's punctual, polite, displays manners, he turns things around on the spot. We once
needed something delivered to our office in NY for our catalog and because it was past the time for FedEx, he actually drove a hard drive with video and images to our editor so
they could get cracking on it before the next day. Now that's what I call client devotion and service. I hope he remembers why clients like us always hire him. Great results,
best price, unbeatable service." -Andrew T.
Music features prominently in everything I do, and it comes as no surprise to people who know me that I like to
wear songs out. I'll pick a song or an album and listen to it on repeat for hours, days, even weeks. This might
drive others insane but for me it helps me stay focused like a laser on a given project. Later when I hear a song
out of context I readily think of the project. The most current version of this website (JS ver 6.4) was brought
to you courtesy of The Rasmus's song "In The Shadows." Here are a few other albums that can be found on my iTunes playlist.
