Influential is a boutique advertising agency that I co-founded with Erik Rapprich in late 2010 after we led the creative and online efforts at the Republican Governors Association (RGA). We wanted to create a company that is fundamentally different than other politically-affiliated media firms: we focus on the quality of our work, not simply the quality of our connections. But more than that, we wanted to insource not outsource so that we could control the quality of our products and the confidentiality of our clients. I also wanted to get back to the excitement and creativity I felt during the Foster Companies’ years in San Francisco and New York. Through 2011 we built a team of amazing people who have helped grow the company into what it is today.
