Room for a Smile

Poem • 2026

A poem about the importance of small rituals.

Room for a Smile

Before I sleep
I try to make room
in my face
for a smile

Some nights
little room remains

Still, I tuck myself in
with a little hope

that somewhere
inside my dreams
I might remember
why waking is worth it
